How Its Done
Subsurface laser Engraved Crystals from Picture me in Crystal are wonderful reminders of treasured moments. They are made from the highest grade, optically perfect crystal, crafted from quartz imported from China.
Using the very latest laser technology, the very latest 2D Digital and 3D cameras along with the latest cad photograph conversion software we can literally take a photo of up to 3 people, or any image of your choice, convert the images into what we call Point Cloud. This is a process that turns the photo or image into tiny white dots in the conversion software ready for the laser to engrave. The point cloud images are then saved to a CAD file and then tranfered to the laser engraving software that reads it. Using high speed bursts of heat, the Laser transfers the dots which was read by the CAD file of your image into the crystal block at around 3000 dots per second. The average amount of dots for a 3D image of 3 people is 230000.There is absolutely no end to what you can have engraved.
